Check battery cables for corrosion and good connection.
Try to boost it with jump starter.
Try to tap on starter while attempt to start.
To me sounds like a bad starter.
Front side of the motor at the transmission. It is difficult to get to. I know the 2005 version appears to use an induction starter which is difficult to get to but fairly dependable. If your having starting problem I would look for another cause though, I rarely find issues with the escape starter.
