When my son brought his truck to me for a muffler i noticed the cat was bad also. i changed both. while under it i found a leak in the fuel line. repaired that. ever since it has been running rich. i changed the MAP,
fuel reg. this beast has a 3 inch pipe and i dont have a tool to fit the angle of the o2 sensor.( even my o2 socket wont reach ). so far i got it to idle but when i put it in gear it stalls whats next?
What fault codes are showing on a test. You can run a fault test with no scanner by following the instricions at the link. as fara s the O2 sensor goes it takes a special socket, it cost maybe $5

yes it can but you may have a coolant temp sensor acting up which causes the computer to open the injectors to much which can also cause this 02 sensor code. when it stalls do u have spark and fuel pressure.

Change/thoroughly clean the idle control solenoid. It may be sticking and causing rough idling.
Cleaning it is unlikely to be more than a short-term solution.

Find your firewall electrical junction block (where all the wires enter the cabin on the passenger side) and with a zip tie pull up the wire bundle so it does not ride on the upper tie rods and, fasten the zip tie to anything that is solid in the engine compartment and, let me know what happens
