Not Hard at all. http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=45
that website will let you know in detail what to do. Choice of sparkplugs, i run my car fast all the time and am on the fwy about 90% of the time so i go with iridium plugs, www.ngk.com, use ngk those are the ones specific for those cars. Good luck if you every have other questions www.maxima.org has always helped me with my maxima problems!
Can be done by your self, there is no cap/rotor or spark plug wires so it not alot of stuff to change just plugs, air filter, gas filter. contact if you need morehelp Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

It has a chain. they usually do not have problems with them.
Check to see if you can hear the fuel pump come on with your ear up to the open gas cap whil;e someone tries to start the car for a second.
You should hear it come on for four seconds.
if it comes on, then check for spark at the spark plug wire with a spark tester.
if you notice it when it is wet out then i would do a tune -up but if not i would check the fuel injectors because they are a very very common problem with these years of cars. i do them all the time.
please give me a repair history and i will try to help.
try checking your carberator screw setting or have you though maybe you gas tank needs to be replaced sometime gook builds up on the bottom of your tank, and did you change all you fuel filters there is also one under the car in the back......also did you gap your spark plugs right...
Use a spark plug socket wrench, remove the plug wire, unscrew the old spark plug, screw in the new spark plug, and re-connect the plug wire. Do 1 at a time
i would change the knock sensor first. if that doesn't fix the problem then a complete tune up would be the next step. but if the sensor has no resistance that is where i would start
