check the fuel pump and related electrical system and fuses. The aveo doesn't have a fuel filter but only a screen at the bottom of the pump. I had to replace the fuel pump in my 2004 aveo at 80k due to a clogged screen. Hope this helps
Check the fuel filter first, it might need changing. This is the cheapest and easiest thing to try first. If it doesn't help, then it's probably a more expensive fix, like a fuel sending unit. Good luck!
try giving your car a simple service, change oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs and leads etc. also get your wheels aligned and balanced as having bad geo can also be bad for fuel consumption. if that doesnt work then id recomend a garage.
