Car won't Crank/start

With a voltage meter see how many volts are at the starter terminal. If not 12+ volts you have a bad connection. Check connection at the starter solenoid. Does it have 12+volts? Short the solenoid. Does it put voltage to the starter?

2008 Jeep Liberty

Possible solution - This happened to me and my battery was dead in my key fob and also I needed an ignition switch because a piece on it was broken which therefore wouldn't turn to start the engine.

Our jeep liberty won't start. the battery will not turn over when we try to jump it. all lights, radio, inside lights turning lights work. The electric key will not lock it unless it is used manualy....

have a load test done on the original battery as it appears that you have a shorted cell that is draining all the power from the jump battery.
