I have a 2001 aurora, if it is a 4.0 it needs 7 quarts, a 3.5 is 6 quarts.

Check the oil level,If ok when was your oil changed last?If it has been more than 3000 miles CHANGE it.Then reevaluate.

Check dash fuses and relays. You can find fuse box diagrams in your owners manual. Maybe disconected, loose, or damaged connections. Id take it to the dealer and have the dash looked at.

needs changed again could have been a cheep faulty one check warenty with part and return hope this helps?

If anyone has worked under the hood or in the dash get your copy of what you paid and head to the dealer most dashes boards newer then 95-96 need dealer codes and scanner's to re boot if in safe (anti theft) bit if it starts check the fuses it may be in a seperate connector, your bcm (body control mod) is first to check those computer dashes are very sensative

If the engine runs good and has high mileage, it might be the timing chain guides that are worn out
