Hey wassup guys alright so I've had my audi for about a month now and I took it to get serviced because the check engine light came on or well has been on. The mechanic told me about three codes.

What are the standard OBD2 fault codes you have? The would likely start with the letter "P" for power train.

It sounds like there may be an issue with your ignition system.

Check the ignition wires, distributor cap, spark plugs.

Hey guys my 2007 2L audi has no power fownd out that my crank sensor is leakink oil can it be that my turbo is not boosting

You get a "check engine" light? If so, have the codes read at your local parts store. At this point, it could be any of hundreds of different things, including the crank sensor.

Does a 1987 Honda Accord LX have a check engine light on the dashboard panel?

Check engine light must come on with all other lights. It's called a bulb check. So either the bulb has burned out or the previous owner disconnected it.

Brake lights won't turn on.

Try replacing your brake light switch. Located at the bottom by your brake pedal.

Hey my 2006 Suzuki swift has been playing up for around 6 months now and I think it's time to fix it, things I've come across is... Constant revving up and down, check engine light either on all...

all the faults of the car dont need to be fixed all at once
you can stretch it out

idle control valve can be cleaned
the maf can be cleaned
air filter can be cleaned
replace spark plugs

disconnect battery terminals count to 5 then reconnect
see if the engine check light stays off

if the light comes back on
engine check light on means fault codes are stored in the ECU to be read

shop around for the cheapest place that can do a 10000 km service
and nothing more

Dirver side power seat not working?

I've got a 2005 Passat GLX (bought it new); took it in for an oil change, and the mechanic also cleaned my cabin filter. I leave his shop and I realize I don't have power seats no more on the driver's side (passenger side fine)....neither backward/forward or up and down, (separate motors, I believe)....Coincidence????? I don't know-never had any problems before. The car has 65,000 original miles.

The guy checked the fuses on the dashboard driver side, near door....seemed alright. They were closing so he told me to come back Monday....I'm thinking of taking it back to dealer (I lost trust in this guy).

Any thoughts on what could have gone wrong???

My service light is on - on my 2004 Audi A4 - It has 67000 miles on it.. What service is due and how much am I looking at?

This is the big one - roughly every 60k miles the timing system needs replacement. This is the timing belt, accessory belt, water pump, thermostat, tensioning and idler pulleys, hydraulic damper, coolant flush, and other smaller jobs (cabin and engine air filters, oil/filter change, tire rotation, and inspection of brakes and suspension). A dealer is going to kill you on this - I've had people bring me quotes of up to $1500 for replacement of the timing belt alone (none of the other components included). This is a critical service though - at this point you can expect wear on the timing tensioner components and if the belt jumps or those parts fail, you'll need a new cylinder head. Check your local craigslist automotive services section, ask friend's with German cars, etc to find an independent mechanic to perform the work - don't go to a Chevy guy for this. If you're in the northeast US, I can handle it for you. Depending on location I may be able to recommend someone nearby as well (feel free to contact me at [email protected] for information).

Vehicle, 2001 Audi A4 2.8L, stopped during driving, and would not restart. Electrical system is at expected voltage, and vehicle has complete power. Towed to dealership as vehicle would not restart. ...

I had the same type of problem on my Audi A4 2001 2.8l. I prolonged to change my o2 sensor, now I have a disgusting noise coming from the catalytic converters. Quick possibly a leak, bringing it in on Monday to have it checked out.
