My keyless remote battery died, changed the battery, the remote will not program. This happened before when the first remote battery died so I gave up and used my spare. I'm all outta extra remotes and completely aggravated...
You have to go to a toyota dealer service centre to program the remote. But I am sure you are well aware of that.

You can take it back to the dealer, and have them change the battery, or go to Autozone, buy the battery and do it yourself. They can show you how to do it. And which battery it takes. It's not hard to do. Good luck.

If it is the facyory installed keyless remote then you will have to take it to the dealer to be programed remeber to take all remotes with you. If it is an after market system respond back with make and model
