SOURCE: Automatic door locks will not work.

you need to take it to the dealer and have them check the bcm for codes.... also have them check to be sure you have the latest software in the bcm.. its possible that you just need a software update... there are several TSB's covering the concern you have..... it can be a very simple fix with software or even a stuck lock switch may need to be replaced... without the proper diagnostic codes being read from the bcm all that can be done is guessing..and that can be expensive...

SOURCE: automatic side door will no longer open with

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

Back hatch won~t open with remote or inside door locks will open manually nothing stuck or jammed?

Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

How do I get my rear hatch door open,when you can't open it from the outside?

You can get it open in two ways: By using your key fob and remotely opening latch or by pulling inside panel on rear hatch and manually pulling lever to get latch to release. Most times when you cant get rear hatch to open normally is because cable from outside release handle to latch broke. Have cable and release mechanism inspected and replace worn or broken parts as needed.

Hatch won't unlock

Donald: Here are some comments on SubaruForester.org : "We just got a 2007 Subaru Forester> and we absolutely love it.

I was wondering if anybody out there has a solution to this small gripe:

The only way to open the rear hatch is to first unlock the driver's> side door, then hit the unlock all button, then walk back and open the rear hatch. It sure would have been nice if the rear hatch had a slot for the key, or there was a button on the remote you could press.

Anybody else have this gripe, and is there a solution?
---------
Two presses of "unlock" on the key fob unlocks all 5 doors.
--------------------------
If it has a key, try that.
==========
My only suggestion is double-clicking the unlock button, while standing next to the rear hatch. I know that on my 2003, it's sometimes a matter of timing.
==================
I remember reading somewhere (can't recall where) that sometimes
if you are parked on uneven ground the rear hatch can be a problem
to open. If you are on uneven ground, try moving the Foz to a more
even place.

2007 Cadillac Escalade remote start button opens rear hatch!

Question edited for clarity.

The remote start is tied to the Lift Hatch. Your vehicle was likely not locked, so when you double clicked the lift hatch, it did what it is supposed to do and opened the hatch. If that is not the case, take it to a remote / alarm installer to check the programming.

My remote key control stopped working, does it take batteries?? Or do I have to replace the whole thing?? Also the rear hatch won't open now, I tried using the remote, won't work, also tried the hatch...

Check the batteries first as all remotes have a battery. You'll either need to unscrew the remote or pry the remote on the side to open it. The hatch should not be tied into your remote not working. Does the hatch open f you use the key. If nothing opens your hatch, your latch mechanism might be screwey

My rear hatch will not open no matter what I do, remote, dash button or key, neither works. I checked te fuses and they are all good. What could be the problem? It worked and then I locked the doors with...

I just repaired a 2002 Aztek with a non working hatch. It was bad solonoid motors that were not releasing the latches.it is a fairly hard job to access the latches to release the hatch so you can get to the solonoids. You have toy crawl into the back of the vehicle and remove the bolts that hold the latch hooks. Once you have done this the glass top of the hatch will open. you can then use a screwdriver to reach down through the internal part of the latch and release it so you can access the bolts to disasemble the hatch to get to the solonoid motors. This is not a job a novice mechanic should atempt.It should be done by an experienced mechanic with the proper tools.
