My 2003 BMW 525i doesn't start engine from the first time lately.However this doesn't happen in the morning as expected I mean not necessarily the first start of the day?
Try to get a fuel pressure test or get it put on the machine to see if the
crank sensor or cam sensor is going bad.

The culprit is going to be one of two things.1 being the vehicle speed sensor(VSS) located going into the transmission. 2nd is the speedometer transmitter located on the differential. Jack up the vehicle for the drive tires are off the ground and disconnect one sensor at a time. Put an ohm meter on each one, while hooked up to meter turn the drive wheel by hand in neutral and see if the values increase. If no difference in values, replace. Hope this helps you
