How to replace headlight bulb on 92 legacy - 1992 Subaru Legacy

CHECK THE BLINKER RELAY. OR ADD A BLINKER RELAY IN THE GROUND WIRE.

Check fuse is correct rating! Sounds like the current is too high!

Generally, it is better to replace both at the same time, simply because the possibility of the other one following after. BUT $150.00? wow, that is not something that would void your warranty if you replace it yourself. The bulbs are as cheap as $7.00 at your local parts store. Save yourself $130.00 and replace them yourself. ^^ Good luck and hope this helps. P.S. If you are talking about the entire headlight assembly, then $150.00 is more than fare.

I just fixed this problem on my 95 legacy wagon. I did evreything needed to replace the headlight switch. My switch has 2 pieces I seperated both pieces and cleaned the contact in between both pieces. that's all I did, no money for part's!

its not easy but stand back and take a good look and follow you instincts,if you can remove the air duct then remove it out of the way then remove the plactic bit at the back of the headlight and the smallest bulb is the one on what looks like a very very small spoon turn to the right and pull back to you and there is your bulb.good luck.adrian,,,,,

You have to remove the whole headlight

THE HEADLIGHTS ARE A SEALED ASSEMBLY. YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE COMPLETE HEADLAMP TO ACCESS THE BULBS.

It is very easy, just open the hood and twist the lock ring off at the rear of the headlight lens assembly and pull bulb straight out, don't touch the new bulb, if you do it will fail right away from the oil on your skin.

this sounds like a ground issue........ did u replace with new bulbs? not all bad bulbs show" burned " out filiments good luck jimmy
