Tried replacing cable from firewall in car-disembled the console,removed the cable T from shifter under the hood removed the shifter flang to the xmission-disconnected the cable jig...everythings disconnected but the cable will not come out thru the outside or in...cable goes thru a plastic duct under carpet
Need to open that floor cover. Should be able to split it or it's part of the cable assembly. Remove till it comes off. Worse that will happen you have to do more work putting it back together
There's a grommet that is in the floor that the cable is attached to pop it out

no the the whole piece that the overdrive button goes into on the shifter . Its black at the very end of shifter. you know the shifter is metal,and the piece is at the end of that.

the computer probably just needs reset because the seat belt warning feedback is tied in to airbag system. try disconnecting the neg battery terminal for about 5 min

stretched or frozen... have helper bang on hood center front while you tug..once open lube abd grease all latch areas and cable end you see there...good luck

Hi did you do a continuity check check if there's a wire shorted or open you'll need a volt meter check if the wires on the crank sensor going to the control module and also the one from the coil to the module there has to be a shorted or open wire check this and get back to me good luck

You did not need to remove the heater box to replace the cable. There is a hole in the floor the cable passes through.
