Cd player wont pull disk in?wont start all the time?
Im not knowledgable about car audio systems, but i would check to make sure your deck/changer is clean. it takes very little debris getting into your changer/deck to foul cd deck mechanisms. if you dont regularly check the surfaces of your disks for prints/smudges/exc.. you can easily foul the deck by repeated insertion of dirty disks. it could be that an internal motor is weak, a tiny drive belt could be sheared, or a gear inside has broken teeth. the lens that reads the disk information (instances that the disk did load) can be fouled leading to messages on your deck face. both problems you mention , to me, seem to point to fouled internal mechanisms. if you have kids, they can do awful things to your car when you are not around. im a parent and i know lol. the only thing i know to suggest to you to slove these problems is if it is after market deck, you may need to remove it and take it to a repair facility because most cd decks at least the ones ive had arent shade tree mechanic friendly. if the deck is your factory installed, check your car owners manual for information. lastly, if it were me, i would use a multi-meter and check for proper voltage at the wire terminals. good luck!
