For this fix you need to reconnect your battery.
1) Turn on the car.
2) The faceplate rotates out and the CODE - - - - prompt appears.
3)
Press >>' and Auto keys simultaneously on the faceplate and hold
for 4 seconds. (If the faceplate rotates back into the console push on
the upper left top edge of the faceplate and it will flip back around.
Press the Eject button and then try it again.)
4) The screen will
still say CODE, but the - - - - will disappear! When this happens press
the 5 key on the remote twice and it enters a K on the display on the
faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
5) Press the 2 key
on the remote three times and it enters a C on the display on the
faceplate. Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
6) Press the 2 key
on the remote once and it enters an A on the display on the faceplate.
Hit the >>' key on the faceplate.
7) Press the 7 key on the
remote twice and it enters an R on the display on the faceplate. Hit the
>>' key on the faceplate.
8) The radio goes into All Off mode and you are set! Hit the SRC button on the faceplate to select CD, Radio, etc

I just posted a solution for this problem. It comes straight from the radio manual. The dealer should have told you this. If you want him to do it he'll charge money for his time. IF YOU LOST YOUR CODE. THE DEALER CAN HELP YOU OR IF YOU HAVE YOUR 4 DIGIT CODE:
SOURCE: Need Radio Security code. serial number TQAAA010712826
If your lucky the code may have been written on the back of the manuel. If not and may not have been set try 0000, and if that does not work and your good with the dealer they may help you reprogram the radio free of charge since they are always disconnecting batteries.
You could always log on to www.radio-code.com and they can help you unlock your radio.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Real easy. Go to the MB dealership, proceed to the parts department give them the VIN of your car(I used my insurance card) ,they type in your VIN, few seconds... they hand you over a post-it w/ your code.
Go to your car punch in the code and make sure you press OK.
Your done ...radio works again.
P.S. I have a 1999 e320

try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
As part of the radio's anti-theft system on some older model year vehicles (2002 and older), the radio resets itself whenever it loses power from the vehicle's battery. Radio security codes are associated with each individual radio unit rather than the vehicle identification number (VIN) (since a vehicle could have the radio replaced). The radio security code must be input in the radio in order for the radio to work.
When you purchased your vehicle, you should have received a card that lists the four digit security code for the radio. If you are unable to locate this card (sometimes owners find it inserted in the Owner's Manual or glove box), the radio will need to be removed so that you can locate the Part Number and Serial Number for your specific radio. The Part Number typically begins with the letters 'MR' and the Serial Number is generally a string of digits and both numbers can be located on the audit unit's chassis.
Please contact your local Authorized Mitsubishi Dealer if you need assistance removing the radio. Once the Part Number and the Serial Number are in hand, your Dealer can access the security code for that radio. You may also contact our Customer Relations Call Center at 1-888-MITSU2011 (1-888-648-7820) and one of our agents will be happy to provide you with the security code and steps to reset the radio as long as you have the Part Number and Serial Number for your radio unit. Agents are available Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PT). Best of all they will give it to you free
