Stop the car in the space where it is to be parked. Shift the column lever to "Park." Open the trunk on Ford models to look for a fuel pump switch. The switch will be located under the carpeting if there is one. Press the switch to the "Off" etc----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mercedes Benz GL320 fan turns on after car is turned off. Stays running until your turn the key but you do not have to turn the engine over for it to stay off

On most modern vehicles the engine cooling fans are electric. These fans are thermostatically controlled and will continue to run even after the vehicle is turned off and until the engine cools down. If you feel the fan is running an excessively long time after you turn off the vehicle, I would recommend you have it looked at by the dealer.
Good luck.

Cosra c fan stays on when i take the key out,

The engine cooling fan operates when the engine is hot and will cut off automatically once cooled. Turning off the engine whilst the fan is running will not turn the fan off, only temperature will do this.

2002 Suburban_ Engine off but air stays on. When engine is on a/c light stays on & ait stays on even if the fan is turned off

Fan will run for a certain period of time after shutting down motor of vehicle. This is normal. Your engine is still hot when you turn the key off. There are sensors that tell the computer when the engine is cool enough for the fans to shut off.

When I turn my car off the air conditioner still runs-I needed a jump the other day because it ran all night and wore the battery down.

OK, if the relay for the A/C fan is bad, then the radiator's fan will keep running after turning off the ignition. Also, if the fan for ventilation of the A/C in the cabin stays on after the ignition is turned off, the relay for that is bad.

Good luck on this repair.

You turn the key and it wants to start but it doesnt Could it be the coil? 1995 honda oddessy

It sounds like a problem i just had. Try this...turn the key as if you are starting it...but as soon as it starts turning over, slightly turn the key as if you were going to turn the car off (just slightly). It is stays running (while holding the key) there is an ingnition switch just under the steering wheel by the brake pedal that needs replacing. It cost me $60.

97 cavalier was running but just stopped.

Question:
Did you replace the ignition switch or the KEY AND CYLINDER?

These are the only 2 things that can make your engine turn off when you release the ignition switch after starting the engine.

I hope this helps you.
