Why does my 95 corsica run good until hot then dies

If the car is running hot, it probably has a sensor that shuts the car down. It is designed to keep you from damaging your engine if It gets too hot. It will not let you crank it until the car has cooled off sufficiently. Find out what's causing the car to overheat. If it's not overheating, you may just have a bad temperature sensor. It will probably be on the radiator. Please do not remove this sensor if your vehicle is overheating. Your car will only drive a short distance before catastrophic damage occurs, and you'll be out a few thousand dollars to replace it.

Driving down the highway when my 84 caprice (350 engine) started loosing power shortly shut off wouldn't start back water hot in the reservoir to boiling when cooled off it won't crank only clicks

Sounds like the engine has retired. If you want to check, put a socket on the crankshaft pulley and see if it turns clockwise. If it moves freely, you may want to check the starter. But that engine is 31 years old.

On vacation, we went over the Continental divide or four times. The vehicle had trouble getting over the divide. When we got ready to go back home we stopped to eat lunch turn the vehicle off. Went back...

Souds like it could be a vapor lock problem. As long as the engine is running, cool gasoline is moving through the fuel system. Once the engine is shut off, if the fuel line at some place is getting hot it can cause the engine to not start or quit after starting. After the fuel line cools normal gas flow is restored. Look at the fuel line as it routes around the engine and see if you an spot this.

Car won't stay started

a bad fuel pressure regulator will cause this, the vehicle runs rough, the engine will not start (usually in the mornings) many times engine starts then stalls. a bad regulator can result in fouled spark plugs. also get it scanned to see if the crank or cam sensor is bad. if crank sensor fails there will be no starts. check these out.

Car stalling on hot days!

this is your ignition switch failing. Typical symtoms when stalling, speedometer and tach dropping to zero, some warning lights not lit, power failure. The internal contacts are shorting due to poor design and engineering. This causes vital engine/vehicle electrical failure, causing the stalling(happens more often in hotter/humid weather). There is a recall in place for this in 2002, over 1.5Million vehicles from 97-02 Honda/Acura models affected. Owners were notified in 2002!! If your vehicle is part of this recall, honda may repair for free. Call your local honda dealer with your VIN# at hand, they will give info on this recall and may repair for free. Otherwise the switch cost about $45-$95. hopefully this helps...please rate...thanks

Vehicle shuts off and will not start back up right away. P0601

what that means is your engine goes into protection mode and shut's off this is mostlikel;y do due to low coolant level or low oil level/pressure. have this checked by a qualified tech. diagnostic equipment must be used to clear the code after the problem is solved in order for your vehicle to run properly

Starting

Morning, I found your problem...its going to be your fuel pump. Allow me to explain. When you start your car in the morning the car starts just fine. As your driving the fuel pump will eventually get hot. Therefore the circuit cuts off when you turn off for a while then you jump back in to restart the vehicle and it doesn't. The reason is when the fuel pump gets hot it shuts off due to circuit wire inside the pump.
You can almost say like overheating. Therefore your pump is going out. Replaced 7-10 of them in my time as a mechanic. Do yourself a big favor. Don't get a used on or Autozone. Pep boys or Napa will do just fine. Goodluck.
