2000 frontier will not start, pulled codes & they are p0440, p0325 & p0340, what are these codes and how do i fix them, and will it fix the starting problem, are they related?

Service engine light has been on for a bit but the truck was still starting, but today it didnt start, tried jumping it, push starting it, tapping on starter, and replaced cap & rotor, but still no start, scanned system & retrieved codes p0440, p0340, & p0325, are these codes related to the starting issue?

I would personnaly test the cam and crank sensors. If you are not getting spark, then your crank sensor is bad.

SOURCE: My 2003 Nissan Frontier stalled and will not crank

I would say that the P0340 is causing your no start problem.....This is a cam sensor code......The cam sensor is in the distributor and is not servicable.....I would recommend taking it to a repair shop to properly diagnose the problem before replacing the distributor.

If the check engine light is not on when you turn the key on, check the fuses. The fuse for the computer may be blown. If it is you will need to look at the circuit to find the short that blew the fuse.

I have 2 engine codes on my 2005 dodge neon. they are p0325 and p0340. the car has problem starting and misses badly for a while. What is the problem and how do i fix it? thanx for the help!

the p0325 code pertains to a knock censor. the p0340 is for your cam shaft sensor. i've had this problem before. try replacing the cam shaft censor first and run the codes again to see if the other still comes up. it should fix the problem. hope this helps

04 dodge neon showing P0325 and P0340 codes at same time.

Code 0325 is for a Knock sensor. Code 0340 is for the Cam sensor #1 if this is an engine with 2 heads and it is an indication of a single sensor on single head engines.

So if you do have a multiple hed engine, you may have removed the good sensor and left the bad sensor in the other head.

Remember to wipe the computer memory after installing new parts.

Nissan frontier will not start, will turn over but wont start.. gives p0340 code

what type frontier is it?? is it supercharged or not? p0340 is a cam position sensor issue. sensor is build into the distributor. by what you are saying, the distributor may be faulty. have you replaced the timing belt at 105k miles?? if belt is broken, distributor will not spin and vehicle will not start.

Need to know what dodge codes P0325, P0344 & P0340 mean

0325 knock sensor
0344 cam position sensor intermittent
0340 cam position sensor failure

I would replace the cam position sensor from the codes you provided. The knock sensor
would most likely be related to the sensor failure.

I have a 05 Dodge ram 1500 90,000mi. and it start to bog and eng.light came on my codes were p0129-p0405-p0340-p0868 and pending codes were p0129-p0325-p0330-p0405-p0340. I had put a new map sensor in...

P0340 is for camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction so the problem can be in you hav already changed sensor, then you need to check wiring from sensor to ecu and if the wires are ok than check the ecu! It can be either of them cousing the problem.
