First turn the key and all dash lights lit up as normal continued turning the key to start and everything died (everything off). Then the little red light on dash came on. Could this be just a battery issue? What does that little red light symbolize? At first we figured battery was weak so we jumped it then we had no throttle control(give it gas and wouldn't do anything, now the throttle body sensor light was on, the ABS light and the brake light were also on. The little red light was still on we believe. The truck had been fine when it was parked in the morning this happened at the end of the work day. Nothing was left on to run down the battery.

yes you need to have the abs system checked out...i had a suburban that did that and ended up losing my brakes.so yes be concerned.

CHeck for loose vacuum lines. At times spraying carb cleaner or cleaning the carb before adjusting helps. Check the idle up, you may have do do some adjustments. Check also the timing.

I have a 2004 dodge ram 5.7 hemi and i have the same problem. If i drive it everyday it starts up fine, but if i leave it sit without starting it the battery dies. i pulled the fuse #51 out that was drawing the power down and truck starts up fine every day no problems but the radio does not work and the power locks, dome lights dont work when truck is turned off.
wont start lil red light is the only thing that is on
