COULD BE FAULTY TPS SENSOR, CLOGGED AIR FILTER OR FUEL INJECTORS NEED CLEANING.IF CLOGGED AND DIRTY THEY WILL CAUSE LEAN FUEL MIXTURE.HAVE FUEL PRESSURE CHECKED.SHOULD BE 53 - 63 PSI.RIGHT MANY NEW VECHICLE FUEL PUMPS SHUT DOWN 5 YEARS USE.FUEL FILTER IN GAS TANK CANT CHANGE IT UNTIL REPLACE FUEL PUMP.HAVE PRESSURE CHECK OUT WEAK.FUEL PRESSURE WILL CAUSE HESITATION ON ACCELERATION.
Hestitation on acceleration can be caused by several different things. Most of the time depending on the milage in the vehicle I've found it to be the Throttle position sensor.Try testing the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Get the repair manual for the vehicle and there is a step by step procedure for testing it for resistance. But you will need a scope meter to test test it for a dead spot.(which usually means a repair shop). If this sensor tests ok then there are a list of things that cause hestitation on acceleration which are listed in the shop manual. Shop manuals describe how to check the items relating to the symptoms .and either repair or replace them.
PS One time a customer had this problem and it was due to more then 10% of alchol in the gas tank. (too much ethanol) good luck
sound like throttle position sensor.have it check out.also check air duct connected to mass air flow sensor and throttle body.if air duct is loose or off.it will cause severe hesitation.
There is a TSB for shift enhancement and hesitation for that car. It involves re flashing the ecu with a update program. Its covered under you 3/36000 warranty.
