Headlights will not come on, but will come on with sensor

I have a 2004 Buick Century with automatic headlights that come on when the sensor tells them to come on. Now, however, when I pull on the headlight knob, the headlights will not come on or if it is dark and the sensor already has the lights on, the headlights will go off. Regular beam and high beam work. What is the problem and how can it be fixed?

i have the same problem now, my lights wont come on by themselves, but when i hold in the turn signal the highbeams will come on.

I have almost the same problem. The headlights worked yesterday morning; overnight they suddenly stopped working. They will not come on with the sensor or the light switch. Fuses are intact. All the other directional lights and side markers work. Just no headlights.

Believe it or not, when I turned the hi beams on and off the low beams started working again. Fixed (for now at least).

SOURCE: 1988 buick century headlights

To change the low beam headlight on the 2001 Lesabre, the headlight assembly must first be removed from the car. It is really quite simple to do. There are two bolts on the top of the assembly that must be removed - that is all! The entire assembly comes out and gives easy access to the low beam bulb. Give it a 1/4 counterclockwise turn to remove it. Plus in the new one (#9006) and reverse the procedure.

Where is automatic light switch on my 2004 buick rainer cxl model suv

There is no switch, they are automatic. There is a sensor mounted on the top of dashboard that senses light, which tells headlights to turn on.

How do I change the headlights and the spark

I just had my spark plugs changed today on my 1989 buick century. I'll tell you this, the guy had a hard time doing it and had to take things off the engine to get to them. It was about a 5 hour job for the plugs and wires. Good Luck!

02 buick century headlights won't come on all other lights work.

Look in the fuse box. The cover should tell you with fuse is related to the headlights. That fuse might be a good place to start.

Headlights stopped working.

No high and no low beams ? sounds like you need a new relay . check your relay box under the hood. look under the lid of the box and it will tell you which one is for the headlights.
