The pump may use same fuse as the wipers. Check for power at the pump connector or hot wire the pump with jumper wires from the battery. If you have power at the pump when the washer button is pressed, likely a bad pump. Or if you hot wired it and the pump works, check for a fuse or switch problem or bad wires.

SOURCE: windscreen washers stopped working. all fuses ok,wipers working ok.front & back washers not working

Hi, First check that you have wash liquid in tank. second make sure that it will not freeze by putting alcohol in your mix of water and soap. You can buy it already mixed at most service stations. Check pump for corosion on contacts.
Good luck.

Why won't my washer fluid motor work on my 2008 Honda Odyssey?

Check for the whirring sound of the water pump when you pull the wash switch. It is located at the bottom of the fluid container. If no sound, the pump maybe dead. Check voltage supply at the connector to the motor too.

2004 Pontiac Grand AM windshield wipers work but washer does not come on or pump fluid. Cannot hear pump running. Cannot find a reference to a fuse for the wiper pump. i have replaced pump.

Could be that the switch that activates the washer pump is not closing and that explains why the pump is not working. That has a separate switch from the wipers because you only activate it on demand.

Windshield wipers

Would need to scan vehicle to insure the wiper speeds are controlled by the General Module or a wiper intermittent relay....if relay...would locate and replace...if general module.....a reprogram or software update could be in order...possibly replacement.

What fuse controls the washer fluid pump?

On some older cars the washer motor circuit is tied into the wiper circuit, so the large fuse or relay for the wipers also controls the washer motor.
Don't know about your car, but you could take the connector off your washer motor and check for power there, when someone holds the washer pump switch on, and key on.

My wipers & wiper wash dont work

First and for most, check the fuse, that has probably burnt out. I am pretty sure that is the issue. Next if after finding fuse in panel , and replacing it, still don,t work, then next step would be checking washer/wiper motor. Thanks, please let me know, mike from fixya

My 2004 Ford Expedition will not spray windshield wiper when the button is pushed. The wipers do turn on, but no spray. Would this be caused by a fuse (the wipers do turn on) or is the motor bad?

Can you hear the washer pump running when you operate the washer switch? The washer pump is in the bottom (side) of the washer fluid reservoir. You should hear it running. If not, you can disconnect the wire connector at the pump and use a test light to check to see if there is power and ground at the connector when you operate the switch. If there is power and ground, replace the washer pump motor. If there is no power or ground, you most likely have a bad washer control switch. (You have to replace the entire Multifunction Switch)

If you can hear the pump running, check for washer fluid pouring on the ground. If this is the case, you have a broken hose between the washer pump and the jets that spray on your windshield.

Also note that there is no way possible that your problem could be CAUSED by a fuse!

Washer fluid will not work, it is filled, no leaks, fuse(only found one) is ok. but the wipers work just no fluid will come out. what could be the problem?

more then likely it is the motor that is bad or the plug may be bad. located on bottom of filler. Good Luck Tim
