The way tire sizes work is as follows:
The first number (205) is the TREAD WIDTH in millimeters;
The second number (70) is the percentage of the specified tread width the measurement between the tread and the wheel is (which means that the distance between the tread and the wheel is 143.5mm).
The third number, 15, is the rim diameter in INCHES.
Do a little math and you can figure out the proper size tire for your vehicle with the after-market wheels you are using.
