The 4X4 service light was not on with the original shift motor in place? Is the new shift motor new or used? I can only guess the replacement motor is defective, not correct for your model vehicle or the transfer case has internal damage. I would like to know the Year, Make and Model. Look around and tell me if the transfer case allows the motor to change position. Remove the motor and test by rotating the rod. Will it rotate to other positions? Check for a blown fuse. If this checks out ok then the motor or related wiring could be to blame.
Hey have u tried this manuals site big-manuals.com ? Like manuals are great and for automobile problems it's suggested that manuals should be referred.. I personally like big-manuals.com it's a great website and very helpful.. u must try it once
Kabota makes a nice machine. I'm not sure what type of environment this machine is or what type of work load it endures. Two popular failures are the driveshaft and gears at the wheels. All lot of times it is human error. The gear oil isn't changed on-time or the axle is overloaded and it is a domino affect. The outer hub bearing brakes and metal damages the gears. The driveshaft loosens up and slides out of position or breaks. Have you raised the front wheels off the ground yet? How does the fluid look inside the front axle? What have you checked so far? Feel free to write back. The more information and details you provide the better. Good luck.
Refer to owners manual and video under troubleshooting if that does not work almost all auto part stores have hand held computers to check your sensor which they will give you a print out telling you the possibilities if its always done this it could just be telling you that the 4x4 is engaged
Is it factory alarm or aftermarket??. Try using the key to lock and unlock the doors driver and passenger then turn the ingnition on with the key and leave it in the key on engine off position for a few minutes and start the vehicle
some times the truck has to be put in the opisite direction the for wheel drive was driven in last. so if ya were going forward and you have auto locking hubs then you need to drive irt backwards till lights go out. and if you have driven a long way with it like that then you might have to back up far but it should unlock those hubs. if not then on transfer case there is a small motor that engages and you will need to remove that motor and manually move selector to 2h.
Start Vehicle with engine running push on BRAKE and with feet firmly on brake put vehicle in NEUTRAL. Keeping foot on brake try to engage 4x4 should work. If I fixed-ya leave ma FIX-YA comment thanks
