SOURCE: obd diagnostic

Look under the hood in the engine compartment. The emissions sticker will tell you if it is obd compliant...If it is manufactured in the u.s. since 1996 , federal laws require it to be obd compliant..I would give the manufacturer of the scanner a call to check compatability...Good Luck!!!

You're right, the PO154 has to do with the O2 sensor. The code has the info of Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1).
Bank 2 is the exhaust manifold that cylinder #2 uses.
Sensor 1 is the sensor in BETWEEN the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
No Activity Detected in the circuit could mean the O2 sensor is dead, or an open/cut wire going to the sensor.
That's about all the info you can get out of that code PO154.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Hyndai Elantra and the engine light

Apparently so - P0501 is a speed sensor code,
FAILURE CONDITIONS The ECM will set a code and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) will turn on if there is no vehicle speed sensor output signal for 20 seconds during two driving cycles when the following conditions are met: a. Open between fuse and wheel speed sensor (WSS) b. Open between WSS and GND c. Open between WSS and ECM d. Short to battery or GND between WSS and ECM e. Faulty WSS However, the other, P-456 is an EVAP system code: a. Fuel filler cap loose or missing b. Fuel filler cap o-ring missing or damaged c. Faulty or damaged fuel filler pipe d. Leaking, disconnected or plugged fuel vapor lines e. Fuel in lines due to faulty rollover valve, on-board refueling vapor recovery valve or stuck closed CCV f. Canister close valve clogged, stuck open or closed g. Improperly installed purge solenoid valve h. PSV stuck open or closed i. Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor j. Leaking canister or catch tank a. If any codes relating to FTPS, CCV or PSV circuits are present, do all repairs associated with those codes before proceeding with this troubles area. b. If DTC P0455 is stored and MIL is illuminated, before proceeding to evaporative system test and repair, verify whether the customer was running the engine during refueling. c. If an obvious cause for DTC P0455 is an engine running during refueling, erase the DTC P0455 using Hi-Scan and do not repair the evaporative system. However, the vehicle should be monitored to find reoccurrence of the concern which may come from actual evaporative system.

SOURCE: 2003 Hyundai Tiburon Se overheating!

if there's water coming out of the exhaust pipe its a head gasket but it could be a bad thermostat and when your car gets to a certain temperature the fan will come on and cool it off

My 1999 kia sephia wont pass smog test

You will need to get it scanned and get the codes for the problem. If it failed the test due to emissions I would almost guarantee it will be your oxygen sensor or cat

Pontiac bonnev. 1999 will not pass in. emissions test due to on board diagnostic code po171 system too lean

Check vacuum lines at the throttle body for leaks if good then take EGR Valve off and clean carbon out with a non-chlornated brake cleaner. Then clear code from computer and if it comes back on check the fuel pressure it should be 48-55 psi with the key on and the engine off.If its not within these specs then the fuel pump is weak and needs to be replaced.

Hi my check engine light is on and it wont pass inspection, gave it a tune up. I was told at the time i was tryin to get an inspection that the timimg belt was bad, took it for second opinion and i was...

hi what part of the inspections? emissions? normally if you have the engine light on and you have high emissions, this is normally due to a bad o2 sensor, but that's just a guess, you will be better off getting the code read on a diagnostic's machine to find out what the error is, the belt can and can not have things to do with it, if the timing was out that would have an effect but if the vehicle is running ok then i very much doubt that will be anything to do with it but like i said if timing is out it will...hope this helps

Check Engine Light won't go off

If you have an Advance Auto Parts store where ever you are, they will read the code and tell you exactly what to code is and what it means. Any mechanic who "guesses" isn't a mechanic at all - he's a thief. Emissions leak can be any number of things, but not the gas cap!

Evap code sm. & lg. leak

it can because most vehicles work with a pressurized fuel system, some will even give you a check engine light if you don't have the gas cap on tight enough. i recommend at least 3 clicks

Engine light won't go off

you will need an OBDII diagnostic to Isolate the cause of the emissions failure,
Can be a line in the evaporative emissions system has a leak
The fuel pump gasket leaking
one of many sensors have failed
A smoke test is the only reliable way to find a evap leak
and and OBD II scan tool is the only way to find the remaining concerns, sorry
If this information is helpful please give me a good rating
