Fuel guage sender unit location
The fuel sender in located inside your fuel tank. it will most likely be screwed to the side or the top of the tank so you may need to remove your tank to gain access The fuel hose(s) go to the same place so simply trace the fuel hoses back to the tank. Some vehicles have an access panel in the floor of the van so check for this. To test the fuel gauge, turn the ignition key to ON ( warning lights lit but do not crank the engine), remove the wire to the fuel sender and ground it to the body of the vehicle - the fuel gauge should go tho the FULL mark if all is Ok

Your problem is fuel gauge is hanging up on the fuel pump. The slide bar/fuel sender is located inside the fuel tank alongside the fuel pump. Today I removed my fuel tank and replaced the pick up strainer on my fuel pump and previously my fuel gauge didn't work, but all I needed to do was slightly bend the slide mechanism and my fuel reading read correctly on my gauge. Previous to that I showed no reading on the dash meter.

hello first thing get a flat block of wood 2x6 or 2x12and a floor jack get car ramps under the rear tires use jack stands for safety get the jack under your tank with a piece of wood snug dont crush the tank remove your straps that support the tank also the clamp at your filling tube work the tank down while letting the jack down better off with a helper much easier now at the top[ of the tank you need to remove fuel lines (make sure there is no pressure release at the fuel rail from your shrader valve) emmision lines, wires now take your tank out its easier to pour the gas out of the tank into pails its more managerable to work on at the top there is a lock ring it has flat spots that lock under 3 or 4 ears you want to tap the ring off so the small stops are going away from the ear use a copper or brass flat edged chisel or punch spray some wd40 on ring to help once the ring is removed your sending unit fuel pump assembly lifts straight up dont bend the float arm take it out on a angle that works now once you go to reassemble get your area clean where the rubber gasket sits on dont drop dirt or rust in your tank take some blue grease or lithium grease on the rubber so ithelps with the friction now insert unit back in tank install lock ring push down and get it started under the flat ears make sure all the sides are under now tap it to the locking position till it bottoms out on the stops reinstall all lines hoses jack back up install your straps take jack out leave on ramps have somone put the key to on position check for leaks and fuel pump sound if okay then drop down goodluck please rate

the cable going from the gauge to the sender unit is an earth return. if you take it off the sender unit wire if the gauge does read hot the sender and earth it out the gauge should go to the hot segment.dont leave this cable to earth very long do it quickly. if the gauge does read it is ok, there is no earth to the petrol tank. if it does not read it will be faulty. hope this helps.

Check the anti slosh module in the instrument cluster. It could be that or the gauge. If there was an open it would read past full.
