Cant find the location of the fuel filter on a 05 hyundai accent gt
The fuel filter location for a 2005 Hyundai Accent depends on where it was manufactured and when. It is possibly mounted external, on the outside of the fuel tank directly above the fuel pump and accessible by removing the back seat. The other possibility is that it is mounted inside the fuel tank and requires removing the back seat, the metal panel, the fuel pump itself and then accessing the filter.
Help this helps and good luck.
Can you see the filter mounted externally? If you can't clearly see the filter, chances are that it is internal and you'll have to pull the pump. Either way, you should not have to drop the tank.

I just did a little research and found that, again based on where and when the vehicle was manufactured that there is a third possible location for the fuel filter.
Try checking under the hood on the passenger side of the engine compartment on the front side of the strut tower. It could be mounted on the fender well. It is my understanding that this is a fairly uncommon application for these vehicles. But, if you're not clearly seeing it by removing the panel under the seat, you may check it out prior to yanking the pump.
Get back to me and let me know if you got it taken care of.
Good luck!

Let it be known to everyone out there!!! There is a huge difference in a fuel filter and a pick up sock!!! Apick up sock will generally last the life of the fuel pump and does not need servicing until that time! A fuel filter should be replaced at a recommended interval generally about every 20,000 - 30,000 miles.
