Instructions for turning on back screen wiper on Ford mondeo 1.8

I'm lacking the owner's manual and cannot figure out how to turn on the back screen wiper on my Ford Mondeo 1.8 Estate (build 1999).
Tried every position on the indicator and light levers, front wipers/interval working fine by moving right hand side steering wheel lever op and down, pulling lever forward, engages back screen wipe spray and wipe (3xtimes).

2 ways this could work. 1 is by pushing the wiper switch towards the dash.

2nd is when you pull the lever towards you, it will turn the intermittant wipe on, pull it towards you again to cancel.

My wipers quit working

did you check the fuses? there might be a fuse for the wipers under the hood as well as in the fuse box inside. If its not the fuses then it could be either the windshield wiper motor is burned out or the arm that connects the wipers to the wiper motor may have fallen off or more than likely the joint where the arm from the wiper motor connects to the wipers themselves wore out and came apart that happens alot mostly on older vehicles though, try turning the wipers on high an then listen under the hood you should hear the wiper motor unless its junk but if you hear it then the problem is with where the motor connects to the wipers, if you don't hear anything at all coming from underneath the windshield behind the firewall under the hood then your wiper motor is either junk or theirs a short in the wiring going to the motor or there's a blown fuse you missed somewhere id look in the owners manual just to make sure there's no fuses for the wipers u don't know about, it could also be that the switch on the steering column that you turn to turn the wipers on and off went out im not sure how you'd test that though... if you cant figure it out after you try what i suggested let me know ill try and figure out if there's a way to test the switch.

I can't turn off the rear wipers on my Ford Transit van

Hi,
Please check your Owner's Manual for operation of the wiper. Otherwise, the dealer will be your best resource and will fix it for FREE under warranty.

Windshield wipers not working

there are little tabs at the end of the arm where it attaches to the wiper trans. if you bend the arms up at the hinge and swing those tabs out the arms will stay up (a small screw driver can be used to move the tabs if they are stuck. A 1/8 screwdriver is a good choice, $4 at sears). once those tabs are out and the arms are holding themselves up just pull. you may need to rock them back and forth a bit but they should just pull off.

To remove the wiper motor itself:
1993 Aerostar/Ranger/Explorer
  1. Turn the wiper switch on. Turn the ignition switch on until the blades are straight up. Then, turn ignition off to keep them there.
  1. Disconnect battery and wiper motor electrical connector.
  1. Remove the right wiper arm and blade.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  1. Remove the right pivot nut and allow the linkage to drop into the cowl.
  1. Remove the linkage access cover, located on the right side of the dash panel near the wiper motor.
  1. Reach through the access cover opening and unsnap the wiper motor clip.
  1. Push the clip away from the linkage until it clears the nib on the crack pin. Then, push the clip off the linkage.
  1. Remove the wiper linkage from motor crank pin.
  1. Remove nut and ground strap.
  1. Remove three attaching nuts from wiper motor. Remove the motor.

Auto door locking on Ford Mondeo

It sounds like it has been deactivated so we are going to reactivate the auto lock.

The numbers I will be saying will have to do with getting this to work so:
you will need to put the key in to the ignition switch.

1= is back to listen to the radio
2= is to get key out
3= is just before you start
4= is for starting your car

When we do this 1 and 4 will not be used
Do this and we will hope that it works like it should:

1: Turn the ignition with you key up to on( don't start)

2: Press the power door lock control 3 times

3: now turn the key back once (to off position)

4: Press the power door unlock control 3 times

5: ok turn the ignition back up 1 time. (The horn should chirp)

6: Then press the unlock control, then press the lock control, again (horn will chirp 1's) If auto lock
was activated.

7: Turn the ignition back 1's, Then the horn should chirp once to confirm the procedure was completed.
