2008 Explorer. When I start it it sort of sputters and feels like it is going to die out on me.. When I rev it up or go, we are golden and it doesn't happen again. It is only when I first start it

SOURCE: 2005 ford ranger fuel pump relay gets hot and engine dies

Like Laurie Mack said. It is the inertia switch below the glove box. Here is some funny information. DON'T change the fuel pump first. Interesting fact: I bought the new inertia switch from Ford and the install instructions that came with it said to install the switch in the protected area to the right where the fuses are. It is like Ford knows it was a dumb place to put the inertia switch, but they won't let you know until after you buy a new one. I have read at least 20 other people on here that had the same problem I just had.

SOURCE: 1998 Ford Explorer will not start when hot

Sounds like the choke is getting stuck. It's an electric choke. So, clean it and its linkages. Also, check the vacuum for leaks. With 123K, I'd start with a cleaning.

SOURCE: mondeo diesal 2002, glow plug light

Hi

The glow plug coming on on the Diesel Mondeo is an engine management fault indicator. The car goes into "limp mode" when this happens or in other words safety mode is triggered. This explains your loss of power.

To find the cause of this light coming on - the car will have to go on an OBD scanner at a service shop which will read the codes stored in the cars computer and give you an answer as to what is causing the fault to show.

Hope this helps - please remember to rate my answer as ratings are important to me as an expert on the site. Thank You.

2001 explorer sport , fuel pump? vacuum leak? 619 scan tool data provided, any suggestions/solutions

The fuel pump is suspect but I believe there's also a fuel filter inline on the underside of the drivers side chassis. Fuel works off pressure so if the filter is clogged, the pressure remains between the fuel tank and the filter. Once the fuel has siphoned off between the filter and injectors, it dies but because there's positive pressure at the fuel pump, it won't come on until the pressure slowly seeps past the clog after hours. It's worth a look!

1993 ford crown victoria will not start

This sounds like a bad fuel pump. start engine with the fluid spray and leave it in park and try to rev the engine and if it dies then check pump or relay but i would bet the pump is bad.

93 honda civic ex sputtered and died while driving

Is there any white smoke coming out the exhaust? Sounds like the same problem my friend had when he warped his head on his 91 civic. Any overheating at all? Otherwise another guess would be maybe a bad catalitic converter that clogged up. Hope this helps any, good luck
