Question about 1999 Volvo S70
Hi, My Volvo S70 heat & defrost is not working. When I fill the radiator with coolant it leaks on the floor of the driver side and if I turn on the heat or defrost the car runs hot. Can it be my heater core is bad? And how easy is it to replace? Thanks
It is your heater core. I fixed mine for $144. Ordered the new part on Ebay and followed these instructions http://www.volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=9717 It was very simple, I'm a middle age grandmother! The hardest part was cleaning up all the antifreeze. You will need a shopvac, a small one is $20 at WalMart.

We had the same problem - it was the heater core - but now the coolant disappears and we don't know where it is going - think the head gasket is shot since the car overheated..ugh.
