SOURCE: HU 850 CD stuck in player

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.

I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.

You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.

Did you alter or cut wires when you tried to install the mod unit? If so, you'll need to double check all the wires to make sure they are correct.

Reset CD Player

Unhook the battery - wait a few minutes - reconnect it. If that doesn't help post back.

I require a security code for my Volvo HU 605 cd player.

that is an anti-theft feature that only the dealer has
some more expensive scan tools can retrieve it, but my cheap $2000 tool cannot
furthermore, I would have to connect to your car and I cannot via the web

The good news is that if you talk real nice to the dealer they will usually give it to you for free once they inspect your vehicle

Acura 2004 rsx cd player reads 00 for ten seconds then ejects

I have the same problem also but, I fixed it. What I did was take the cd player a part and used some alcohol and wipe the lens with it and also I have notice is there is a small piece of foam that kind of stablize the cd player melted, take the foam out its not that hard and you will see a small slot that you can insert the foam to replace it. It should be located at the top of the cd player. I worked for me. I hope it will work for you also. Good luck.

If you don't know how to take the cd player from the in dash here is a link to show you how

Rear speakers do not work with aftermarket stereo install

I had the same problem a while back after having a JVC MP£ player fitted at Halfords. The guy told me my sub-woofer behind the back seat wouldn't work with the new stereo which I said was ridiculous, then one of the other guys came to look and told him I needed a different cable to link everything together - then it worked brilliantly.
Sorry I dont know a part number but that is definately your problem.
I hope this helps - or better still that you already have it sorted !!

Location of the GPS CD player on a GMC Envoy.

That is where it goes. The Radio head unit needs to be sent out for repair. That is the message that it will give when not working/reading the disk. Mine does the same thing.
