Stupid power windows!!!!

Sounds like your drivers side window regulator motor gear is bad as far as the other windows drivers door switch is most likely bad if you dont have experience working on electrical or have never taken apart a door panel I would recommend seeing a mechanic. To check the switch you have to disassemble passenger door panel accesa the window regulator motor disconnect the weatherpack connect hook up multimeter and test for power while having an assistant push the window switch down

there should be a elec window control unis some where try changing that over

Have you checked the window motor?

Two things can do this. Lock out button is stuck, or button at window has trash in it. They all can be taken a part an cleaned or replaced.

hi, there is a relay for the windows. in the fusebox (s) there should be a relay for each window. these relays do fail (open circuit on switch side). the feed POWER side may be shorted. these circuits are hard to find the fault, but check all the door relays. the motor can stick and put heavy current to blow the fuse, if you leave the engine OFF and put the ignition ON press the other window and listen for this relay noise. a click can be heard to pinpoint the location of other relays. once you find these switch relays to determin if these are working and use this to put the rear window back up. gerry

no problem on fuse............... check your power window switch, if not work on main and secondary switch, check power window ,remove the switch on passenger side, try to activate the motor by touching wire to battery, take the two wires, brown stripe red and brown stripe white, you will now know the problem

WELL YOU NEED TO START AT THE BEGING YOU NEED TO SEE WHAT VOLTAGE YOU HAVE AT SWITCH AND MAKE SHERE THE DRIVER MOTOR WORK IF SHORTED COULD KEEP WINDOW SWITCH FROM WORKING HOPE THIS HELPS AND YOU NEED 12V GOING TO POWER WIRER THE WAY IT WORK IT POWER THLEG TO MAKE IT GO DOWN WHEN IT NEEDS TO GO UP IT SWITCH THE POWER LEG TO OTHERSIDE OF MOTOR AND GROUNDS THE OPISITE SIDE

Sounds like a bad master switch, bad wiring to the drivers door, or bad body control module.

I have this same problem. 2001 Civic 4dr, drivers window works great, all 3 others do nothing, replaced the switch and still nothing..

it sounds by the motor clicking that your power window motor is shot.....If you jump 12 volts to the terminals on the motor does it work?.................if it does you can at least get it up.......if you put the power to it and it goes down reverse the wires on the terminals and it will go up.But it sounds to me like you need a new one.
