I went to start my 07 volvo s80 and when I put the key in the ignition all my warning lights (brake sys failure, check engine, electronic park brake light, air bag) came on and the windshield wipers came on. The car would not start and the key was stuck. This lasted about ten minutes. Then after messing with everything I pulled the park brake switch and that seemed to shut it all off and then the car started and all was good. What happened?

Try removing the battery for half an hour or so and then reconnecting (check you have all your radio codes etc before you do this).

This is going to be dealer specific. The dealer has to put it on their computer to clear these theft codes. For some reason the cars computer thinks that someone is trying to steal the car. And there is no bypass. On the older security systems you could bypass it and still start the car. But the newer ones 1995 and newer they got them to where you can't bypass them.
