Up underneath the hood if the car has not been in an accident there should be a diagram showing you the way the belt should go back on also if you look at your belt just underneath the belt there is a belt tensioner normally using a 3/8 socket and pulling down or up on the tensioner will release the tension on the belt

Serpentine belt fell off while driving, but before that happened, I assume, car was difficult to accelerate. Felt like thermostat wasn't opening properly, car would rocket after not moving for a bit....
hi kevin sounds like a frozen idler pully. you should have a diagram under the hood or on the crossmember in front of the radiator.
