Get a tee fitting for the size of the vaccum line and connect the advanced line into an existing line from the carb. Worked for me on one of my old cars.

the vacuum setup varies,
by (california, Federal (USA) and export models)
where are you, or if in USA the under hood sticker shows if calif.or not.

if in usa, use the FSM (buy one used) or use alldata.com
on USA cars , (not sure starting year, this one is old) the vacuum
map is on the underside of the hood. (not not painted over, etc)

57 chevy pickup, 6 cyl.. Rochester one barreled carburetor rebuild instr. Thank you

Instructions and an exploded, numbered diagram will be included with a carburetor rebuild kit. You take it apart by the numbered diagram, clean everything with carb cleaner, make sure all passages are clear and not blocked, then put it back together by the numbered diagram in exact reverse of disassembly. Make all adjustments as you go along as the instructions dictate (like float level). When done, a new base gasket, torque down the mounting nuts, and make final adjustments.

Need a diagram for vaccum advance for a GMC truck 1981 350 engine 2bbl carb

The vacuum signal for the advance needs to come from a ported vacuum source on the carburetor, and not from manifold vacuum. Ported vacuum means little or no vacuum at idle, because the throttle plates at idle shut off the ported vacuum hole. Look for a vacuum tube coming from near the base of the carburetor.
I have no resource to find a diagram. You may need to check a repair manual that your local library might have. Or purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual for around $25. Or join a forum for older Chevy/GMC trucks; somebody there could help you, I'm sure. Good luck.

Do you know where i can find a 'vacuum diagram' for a turbo 350 transmission (1980 chevy blazer...stalls when you put it in gear)

There is usually only one vacuum connection on a turbo 350. It connects to the modulator valve on the side of the transmission. This valve uses engine vacuum to determine transmission shift points. The other end usually connects to a direct engine vacuum source. A "direct source" is a hose connection on the throttle body that has a vacuum signal available at idle. If it doesn't, then it's considered a "ported source".I have had some experience with the chevy blazer/gmc jimmy series, both the early large body models and the small body versions. The stalling when put into gear complaint is most likely caused by a bad intake gasket which is common on the older versions with the small block V8 motors. The newer versions with the vortek motors also had allot of trouble with throttle body gaskets. If these problems have not already been addressed, then there's a good chance that it will take care of the problem. Other possible sources of vacuum leaks are the pcv hose that is hard and brittle. Check the hose out carefully, especially the side that normally faces the engine. Check the throttle body bolts (carburetor bolts) for tightness. I hope that this information is helpful to you. Thank you for using Fixya.com.

How to install 1988 chevy monte carlo rochester 4 barrel carburetor

You'll need to disconnect the fuel line at the front of the carburator. Disconnect the vacuum line at the back of the carburator going to the brake booster. Label and remove the vacuum hoses. Unplug the mixture control solenoid connector, the TPS connector and the connector to the automatic choke. Unbolt the 4 13mm bolts holding the carburator to the intake and remove the carburator.
