2001 santa fe starting problem

If you have no issues with your battery cables, I would say it is a starter solenoid that is the problem. As long as it clicks, the start circuit from the ignition switch to the starter is working, and the starter motor tests good, so likely the solenoid is the problem. Is the electrical wire on the solenoid tight?

2001 hyundai santa fe, was running fine, went to crank it, all lights and chimes work, but it will not start. Not the battery, not the starter, thought possibly it was a transponder key, but was informed...

dear friend:this might sound stupid, but remove the key from the barrel and try again, then see if the dash lights dim when trying to start,if it does the battery is to flat to turn the engine,if it is a auto shift the lever slightly forward and backward to make sure it is not the neutral switch.

Brake light and battery light came on at the same time

Have your alternator and alternatorwiring checked, if the ALT light goes on, so does the brake. So it could be that the alternator is faulty. Also check the fuses.

Radio has no power 2004 santa fe no power going to radio only flashing red light for theft deterrent. no power because the display does not light up,not the fuse either checked it.

There's no quick solution for this. Have you checked your fuses (specifically the power-bar fuses). Have you removed the radio (audio unit) and checked wiring/connections? If you don't have the wiring diagram, you can go to HMAservice.com's web site and register and access the ETM (electrical Troubleshooting manual) for your Santa Fe (http://www.hmaservice.com/)

Santa fe wont start.

Clean & scrape battery connections well to assure good electrical contact. Charge battery fully on charger. When you get it started after this, make sure that car is charging battery , first by lights on panel, and then by external measuring device if necessary and available. Many new batteries come uncharged, so that may be your main problem. Costco is a good source of reasonable cost quality batteries, but you may have to charge them and they may not install. Walmart probably good also. Both places allow returns. Follow all safety warnings on battery hookup, as hydrogen explosions are very rare, but very bad when happening, prevented by keeping sparks caused by connecting AWAY from top of battery!
