Changing the broken glass, bought a replacement from dealership. Replacement has plastic casing with circle attachment at back. How do you remove the existing casing?

There are screws and plastic in there. I totally ripped mine off pulling out of my narrow drive way in my apartment complex and all's it took was supper glue to repair it. note: don't squirt a lot and use rags below paint level on door...it will drizzle on down and it don't come off easy.. once its on your paint good luck getting the clue off..... i got about 90% off by using rubbing compound.....but now those areas look newer than the older paint on the door. good luke i hope you can fix it yourself'
can i get reply...thanks

the stands should have two little studs sticking out of the top sides which are used for adjusting the mirror by the motor. If broken off the mirror has to be replaced most likely if your doing the job. A trained technician replaces thes replacement glass parts having problems as well such as you are. Get one at a wrecking yard if possible to save money for these are expensive at Chevrolet
