SOURCE: 93 toyota previa won't start if i try to within 20 minutes
I have a 1997 Premio (like Carina) diesel and I have the same prob. My diagnostic says Throttle Position Sensor Circuit. Does it give white smoke when it doesn't start? It might also have to do with fuel injection then. Press the accelerator pedal fully and try to start when hot. Strangely, after doing that, my problem was solved. But mechanics give other views...
SOURCE: where is the flasher on a 1994 toyota previa
The flasher is bolted to the firewall behind the right side of the instrument panel and you can't get to it from underneath the instrument panel. You will have to remove the center console fascia to get to the instrument cover screws and remove the instrument cover. Then you can get to the instrument holding screws and move the instrument panel out of the way. Either a service manual or AutoZone.com will have this information and pictures. Replace the flasher with a genuine Toyota flasher relay. The aftermarket relays might look like they fit but I have found out they don't work properly. The flasher is bolted to the firewall with a 13mm bolt. Take out the bolt and replace the flasher.
