Transmission is relative fresh rebuild and shifts firmly in all 3 gears under hard acceleration but slides between 2nd and 3rd under light acceration. Reverse also slips on all occasions. Also, it blows fluid under hard accelaration in 3rd gear only
Is it over filled?
You cold try cleaning the valve body
I guess you have a modulator,is that
leaking fluid, pull of vacuum hose & check
Have a 2004 scion xb and have hard time shifting into 4th gear what can be wrong

Hi there,
As your Auto transmission is fully electronic, it could be anything from faulty sensors sending incorrect signals to the trans computer, or faulty internal components. Your best bet is to have the trans computer scanned for 'fault codes' (as the computer monitors and retains all faults) by your local Ford dealership.
This process will identify the likely component/s which are causing this problem.
My guess is, there may be a problem with the 2nd clutch (yes that's right, automatics have internal clutches!), input and/or output shaft switches sending incorrect signals to the computer.
But, there could be so many other possibilities....so, I recommend you get the codes scanned and go from there.....
