Its also possible that the sensor is OK, but the wiring between the CPS and the computer has been cut or somehow compromised.
Because the EGR valve is in the way of one screw, your best bet is to remove the throttle body,them the sensor.You have two torx screws holding it on. T25 or something. This would be on a V8.
