My manual key for my toyota 2011 camry works the door and ignition but will not open the trunk

Will not unlock the trunk. kekky wont turn

    Your sure of the key your using & now it won't work!! Maybe there is another issue with the latch,not the key. Can you drop the back seat to get in?

My 2007 Corolla's trunk lock was stuck in valet mode. I was able to reach behind the back seat and manually release the seat latch using this trick. Good luck!

You're using the 3rd key, the valet key, which allows you to valet park and give the attendant this key. He cannot get in the trunk with this key. You can also (using one of the other keys) disable the trunk open lever by the drivers door by do this. Put a key, not the valet key, into the trunk lock mechanism and turning the lock horizontally and removing the key. This disables the lever by the driver's door. The trunk cannot be opened without using the key after this.

Try spraying some penetrating lube into the lock cylinder of the trunk through the key hole. It's likely frozen from lack of use. Let the penetrating oil soak for 20 minutes and then try working the key back and forth gently and pushing it in and out every couple of tries.

SOURCE: Inside trunk release won't open

1. Open trunk
2. Place latch in lock position
3. Pull inside trunk release to see what isn't moving
4. If trunk key won't turn, the key may be worn out and need to be replaced

SOURCE: drivers door power lock wont work.

Either the wring going to that motor or the motor itself is bad.

Wireless Key Remote door & trunk opener won't work with trunk anymore
When you press the trunk open button, do you hear any "release" noise come from the trunk area? The issue may be a bad battery in the key fob OR there could be an issue with the transmitter located inside the vehicle. I put a new battery in my 1998 toyota camry and when i opened the door the alarm went off and i tryed locking and unlocking the door and trunk but it still wont go off and the car wont crank
That happen to all the time when I work with cars that have an aftermarket alarm.
First; disconnect the battery again and locate the override switch by the steering column lower panel, got to be there somewhere.

Now reconnect the battery, press that switch and turn the key on. that little procedure would reset the aftermarket alarm.

Manual key won't unlock doors or trunk
If not the wrong key, maybe the locks are seized from not being used. Over time with humidity, and lubricants drying up inside of the mechanics of the locks they could seize. When inserting the key the pins are not properly moving in to place to allow the tumbler assembly to turn.

Try using some silicon lubrication. Spray in to the lock. Work the key in and out of the lock a few dozen times before attempting to turn. Then spray in some graphite lock lubricant. Insert the key in and out a number of times. Then tap on the key end with something hard like a pliers or something not to heavy or forceful. Then try turning the key. Jiggle it a bit and moving it in and out. Eventually the pins should normally release and position themselves.

If all of the above does not work, then you will need to get a lock smith to assist. Most likely he will be able to get in to the vehicle so he can remove the locks to service them.
