Please check for loose ground wires. You should see these wires connected to the engine and the body of the car. There are several of them. Check each of them. You may also want to check the cables to the ignition coil or the ignition coil if it is working

i would suggest you contact a dealer and tell them what happened they may tell you to bring it in and that may be a good idea when it comes to these computerized vehicles it's not always a good idea to disconnect the positive cable to check to see if the alternator is faulty it may have caused another problem doing so. The best way to check for a charge is with a machine that detects the charging system is operational

I just had the same problem with my '02 altima SE.
Took it to Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard OH. and they had to replace the two crank sensors which.
The sensors themselves were about $44.00 a piece, but w/labor about $300.00 was the total. Hope this helps.....Now if I can just get the heater working!

fuel pressure for you car is 43 psi, might want to check for a weak fuel pump or clogged filter (there are two) one externaly one on the pump, spray brake cleaner in the intake to see if it starts, if it does, then I would change the pump.

Does the rotor turn? I would check that out. Take the cap off, have someone crank the engine and watch the rotor to see if it's turning. If it does then try a new cap and rotor. If it does not, I would suspect timing belt. Hope this helps, TJ
