Where is the TRANSMISSION INPUT SPEED SENSOR?

so did not check all fuses first?
then scan the PCM for all transmission DTC errors first?
oops.
1999 dodge durango 5.9L (46RE TRANS i GUESS)
there is no , in or on tranny input speed sensor
the PCM uses ENGINE RPM for that. (crank sensor RPM, CKP)
if you scan the PCM you will not see DCT error for input speed sensor there is none.

Trouble Code: P0753 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
A/T 3-4 Solenoid/Transmission Relay Circuit Failurenone there below. but sure CKP is. crank speed
and SOL 2 and gov pressure, are key.

99-undefined-undefined-0.jpgSOLENOID 2 bad? above.
why are you not scanning it first. for DTCs
what if governor pressure signals are wrong. pin 29
what if the scan told you it was. likethis.
examples
Trouble Code: P0700 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
Automatic Transmission Control System Malfunction
Trouble Code: P0711 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
A/T Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Signal - No Rise After StartupTrouble Code: P0705 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
A/T Check Shifter Signal Circuit Malfunction''
Trouble Code: P0715 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
A/T Input Speed Sensor Circuit MalfunctionISS is what? (CKP is my guess)

lots more on gear errors
then
Trouble Code: P0748 (5.9L V8 VIN Z Auto)
A/T Governor Pressure Solenoid/Transmission Relay Fault783 is last one. lots of P07 errors on this box
all covered in the service manual in detail.
learn that some cars the PCM has what are called virtual or derived sensors, like engine load is (used to shift too)
and inputs speed, is CKP sensor and ABS the 4 sensors abs are averaged to do speed.(mph)
but in this case it is crank speed CKP
no PCM schematic shows any ISS at all

one can not fix modern cars lacking a SCAN tool, USA OBD2 .
not really and ASE class Day 1,
read all TSBcheck all fusesscan it.service manual online, great !

the RE is electric shifted the older RH is hydramatic, shifted and not the same thing,so how can if fail.
sure speed sensors sure.but what else.
the pcm fails to pick he 3rd gear soleniodthe PCM is in limp mode.the gov signal sensor is bad. and wrong (not sure how to replace it me., output sensor dead. (no)PCM sees gross CKP errors crank RPM way off or skips.low pump pressure in the transservo drive to band failing and no 3rd gear. possible.more simply after scan replace this set kit.https://www.ebay.com/itm/194076774950?hash=item2d2fe09226:g:flYAAOSwX9FZKCwl&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8Auj9VxgzbBbY1y72FuSN8kY5Rr6S3No4BqIm0Ahxvpol8ifEkPhCjcL9RfwxI1dPT9gboPhrqEcTmFagdyeF9TiffbFSjrtI7XOnIbc8G%2F6JCafmPc6idA7aFhq5Y%2FTxfPDpQyhD1vs1akPE%2FD%2FoH3e9fD3d%2BwcwGu4N0GMG1fIDbLPAnG6cWwwzGUd9zPVWm9tFxHxI1viGJn2aLG7%2F3zQjo4VHwpnCeea9lwjV18DOhcloDRRJMzBojw3Hfb8xJdJUJb2cwSgy1LKickqaxU8QdQHy2zv8NBG1ACbb3ZN%2FE9bD%2FlT1cBqykbdirlNlA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR4SKlvbYYA

One (1) New Governor Pressure Sensor (Transducer)
One (1) New Overdrive & Lock-up Solenoid Assembly & Harness
One (1) New Governor Solenoid Body Gasket

recap and conclusions. electronic shifted trans. TCM
not getting 3rd gear has many causes:
I'd hazard a guess that pump output pressure and regulator are working in the box. (1 >>2shifts ok)
3rd gear solenoid not dead?
and the lies told by governor pressure sensor, makes the TCM shift wrong (computer GiGo logic) caused.
3rd gear servo piston dead.
or some odd Limphome mode, (iDK them all) (ignoring DTC errors? ) Some trans in limp slip a gear.
The governor must see tail shaft speeds correctly or it will not up-shift all the way.

a scan tool can be bought or rented. or ask others to scan it, any shop can, or some Autostores can
there is no reason no to scan it after fuses check, unless 3 gear is needed to get there (hummmmmmm)
$100
also the tool pays for it self (it's free man) the first $100 in labor not spent,. amazing facts no?
a real scan tool not $20 lame code reads,
a real tool see all Dodge codes.
cheaper readers only show DTC errors only with "CEL lamp ON"< , P07xxx code (7 means transmissions errors)
better tools start at %100

launch band can, CRP123

the fuse that runs pin 16 on the OBD2 DLC scan port (12vdc ) must not be blown or the scantool fails (not broken fails to communicate)

I have a 2003 dodge ram with a 4.7. I am getting code p0335 crankshaft position sensor A.

code p0335 refers to crankshaft position (CKP) sensor --circuit malfunction====causes ---wiring---ckp sensor ---ecm
you have checked the wires from ecm connection to sensor connection and eliminated the wires and connections so that only leaves a problem ECM
try substituting the ECM with a known good unit and see it the code is eliminated

100 amp alt fuse

remove serpentine belt. inside the crank pulley there is a large bolt. removal is usually done with a impact wrench. behind the balancer is your crankshaft sensor (CKP sensor.)

2002 dodge ram quad 4.7L 2wd abs & brake lights stay on...speedometer & odometer not working, engine light came on code p0500, changed rear speed sensor twice.( I did notice some metal shavings on...

the speedo and odometer are both worked from the VSS ( (vehicle speed sensor)
check for the reason of metal on the sensor end
could have an internal problem that is not allowing the shifting down so have the transmission check out bat an accredited transmission shop

1999 dodge ram van speed sensor wiring diagram. I put a new sensor in and it still doesn't work is there a fuse or something else I'm missing

ive run into this a few times, its a bad cluster or if theres a speed sensor on the rear diff then replace that also and see if that works. i had a few of these with the same problem and replace speed sensor in the trany and still no speedo and then replaced the rear diff sensor for abs on the top of the rear diff and that solved the problem.

Which o2 sensor is the no. 2 on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.2

it is the one behind the catalytic converter, furthest from the engine. It only monitors the condition of the cat and does not affect the engine computer and it's ability to monitor engine sensors.
