Normally most of them are located around the front of the vehicle near the front grill. It will be a small plastic sensor with either 2 or 3 wires going into it and nothing coming out of it. So look around the front grill and headlight area for something that looks like the tip of a larger permanent marker tip without the top on it and has wires connected to it. Hope this helps b

Does 94 dodge ram 2500 5.9 gas have an external fuel filter if so where is it located

No external fuel filter. Only the dock in the fuel pump in tank. A lot was available to install an external but location would be on the frame rail if present and sit was a dealer add-on that was very uncommon.

Ford 2002 fuel pump not working can a external fuel pump be used?

To use an external fuel pump it will have to be self priming for the lift associated with the selected pump location. Many external pumps are designed to assist the functional pump in the tank. They are not designed to work as the only pump. In my opinion, the best course of action is just to replace your failed stock pump with a new one..so in essence no.

My external temp. gauge is reading 1 degree when its hot outside. where is the ambient temp. sensor located and can it be changed by myself?

The external temperature sensor is usually located directly behind the grille and in front of the radiator. It should be relatively easy to find because it will be the only thing in that area with wires.

How to test a coolant SENSOR

Hello there
This should help you out a lot ok

To test, use a high impedance volt-ohmmeter. Resistance should be less than 1000 ohms with a WARM engine (examples = 212* would be about 185 ohms, 160* would be about 450 ohms, 100* (not warm enough) would be 1,600 ohms).

> What does it do? Adjusts the injector pulse widths (Colder coolant temperatures result in longer injector pulse widths and richer air-fuel mixtures). Compensates for fuel condensation in intake manifold. Controls engine warm-up idle speed. Increases ignition advance when engine is cold. Energizes the EGR valve solenoid to prevent flow of vacuum to the EGR valve. Update: Basically - this sensor functions by providing a resistance-to-ground circuit that the computer (ECU) uses to determine how much fuel the engine requires. (The hotter the coolant - the lower the resistance.) The resistance of the sensor is read by the ECU which in turn adjusts the air/fuel ratio as close to 14.7:1 as possible. When a coolant temperature sensor fails (open circuit / no continuity) the high / infinite resisitance will cause the ECU to falsely read the max low temperature of -40 degrees F. The ECU then tells the injectors to enrichen the fuel mixture because it thinks the temp is really cold when it really isn't. A short to ground would cause a 'no-resistance' fault causing the ECU to think the coolant air temperature was extremely hot and lean out the fuel mix.
