My remote starter was working fine up until a few days ago, now when i press it twice to start the car it does nothing, but its not the battery in the fob because the lock & unlock buttons work fine in the same fob & the trunk pop works in same fob too. does anyone know what i should try to do to try to get it to work?

I have a 2003 sierra and my remote starter would not work, it would lock and unlock only, checked out this site found the solution, tried it and in two seconds i solved the problem, Just press the lock button and the start button and viola it works again, thanks for all your help , GGGreat site glad i found it John

That's normal, the slight chirp tells you the doors are locked.

Sounds like you need a remote, or the remote lost its program. You need to check at the dealership to be sure.

sounds like fob circuitry is getting a bad connection... or it's dying... pull fob apart and gently clean the button electrical contacts
