A BSM module was put it but did not fix the problem
When you say something was put in ---you mean
by a dealer-- that can not resolve any Lincoln Problems
I know that happens all too often. They seen to be the
worst dealers of most makes, just another ford
Need to diagnose from any codes you have, same as
always & have reference trouble charts
Need the factory manuals-- as I have for my Hi-Tech Lincoln LS
I have issues beyond any dealer or service manual & I solve them
& I'm no dealer tech
Have to start over & keep paying until you get a person who
can properly diagnose & find the route cause
I don't even try to talk to the dealer I bought it from anymore. They get me nowhere. The Ford dealer is the one that put the module in and it fixed nothing. I just bought this at the end of May and have had nothing but problems with it since the day after I bought it. It's been to 4 different mechanics and getting too high priced to go any further. My husband is trying to figure it out and has noticed alot of issues with the wiring himself. Thanks for helping out with what you could......maybe I should just bring it to you lol I knew I should've just stuck with GMC
I have 2004 ford gas diagnostic & emissions factory manuals so maybe if you were my neighbor we could figure it out I also have professional Ease software on a notebook
You could try to get a repair shop to print part of the wiring diagrams from their Alldata or Identifix Data Base. You need to see what is in the circuits that ties all the problems together, then your correct, maybe we could use logic to resolve
GMC is not the answer You everyone has the same issues because of the technology since 1996 OBD2 Systems
Ok I will try that out thanks. I've owned GMC's since I was 18 and never had as many problems fixing them as with the Navigator. My latest was an '02 and even with the technology of that one it has been 100 times easier to resolve. Someone also told me it may be the GEM but I will look into what you have told me first. If all else fails I will trade it in
It may be a Gem Module but you test things first you don't install parts in the hope you get it right Your trading it in will cost another $10,000 or more vs a $300 repairs I've never figured that logic out
