The car died on me at a stop sign and after that would not start. checked the starter and battery, its good. replaced cam shaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. Fuel pump sounds like its working fine, its making the usual humming noise. I just dont know what the problem is. It turns over it just wont start. Any ideas are appreciated.

Need to check the condition of the battery. Use a volt meter and check the voltage before trying to start the motor. Have someone to try to start the motor while you check the voltage on battery at the same time. If the voltage dropps to either a 10 or less, replace the battery. If the battery is 4 years old or older then replace it. Hope this will help you.

It sounds like the engine is out of time.
Check timing to see if the engine is firing when number 1 is on top dead center.

the engine's oil pump sensor has three wires to it. One feeds to the fuel pump. When starting the engine that wire from the oil sensor feeds the pump to run until full oil pressure is acheived. When that occurs the computer will shut that circuit off and turn on the power to the fuel pump relay. The relay will run the pump until you shut off the engine
numerous reasons: Check for blown fuses for the ECU- the brains of the car. Next try replacing the fuel filter (not likely). Next- fuel pump relay-Turn on ignition but don't try to start, listen for a humming sound from the gas tank, pump should run for about 2 seconds then stop, if it does this you can rule out the fuel pump relay, if not change out the relay and try above again, if still no humming then the pump it self might be bad. This I think is the only check you can do without specialized tools
Crankshaft position sensor mechanic will have to check this.
There is a sensor that watches your oil level-might be bad
The
Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual
transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully
electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power
Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem
like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer
stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions
to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and
MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory,
to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned
with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must
perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the
problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED
TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD
EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always
check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.
