No reverse after i park my 1962 ford automatic

wow no year told (CAR) now that is a huge CHALLENGE NO?
top cause is park lockout failing, lots of causes, but only the service manual covers how it is done there, on 4 boxes.

the shifter is bad, park soleniod or PRNDL switch failing and with that dead, the park park lock out does its thing,on purpose !
no year car told. or box. tranny.

this car is not USA , so is Down under, sure.

Ford Territory (Australia) 2004 to 2016. made
3 engine used non told
and 4 boxes not told. sorry not answering 4 times. me.
4-speed M93LE automatic (SX; SY RWD, AWD)
6-speed 6HP21 automatic (SZ II petrol)
6-speed 6HP26 automatic (SY AWD; SZ petrol)
6-speed 6R80 (diesel)

check all fuse yet?
scan the PCM</TCM yet and missing all those DTC errors about PRNDL errors?

It can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt. Also get the ****** fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

The shifter needs to be inspected. If The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

you may mean a plymouth laser but any how it sounds like it needs a new or neutral saftey switch or an ajustment of this switch which is located on the ******

Transmission is probably out or on the verge of going out. Or if it is an automatic and the shifter lever itself is hard to move first check transmission and then check gears and components inside steering column.

Automatic? - Broke a reverse band- common

No ford did that so it does not go off when you are driving.

It sounds like you have a damaged shifter cable.It is an adjustable cable but if it is that far out of adjustment then it is probably damaged. Replace it.
