SOURCE: Nissan Maxima 1996 wont start

There was a common issue on these vehicles involving the ground from the transmission. The negative battery cable bolts to the transmission. Over time the mating surface of the trans to the engine will corrode causing a voltage drop between the engine and trans. This throws off the 180 signal from the crank sensor and the car will do exaclty what you are describing. The absolute best fix for this is to remove the trans, clean the mating surface on the engine block and the trans, chase the trans mounting bolt threads in the engine block and bolts, apply some dielectric grease to the mounting surfaces and reinstall transmission. I know this is a big job, but many have tried to short cut it with no better results.

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Cranks but won't start!

It could be the fuel system.
It could either flooding or starving for fuel.
If injectors are fouled badly it will wet the plugs and not fire.
If plugs are pitted that makes it easier to flood. (check plug tip condition, check all plug wires and boots are good)

If it is starving -- fuel pump weak (going to fail).
Need to test fuel pump pressure.

2000 Chevy Blazer turns over but doesn't start.

I had this problem with my Durango.. everything you checked was good on mine but it would just turn over and not start. I towed it to a mechanic and it ended up being the cam shaft and crank sensors. Hope this helps

1995 nissan sentra won't start

Do a compression test maybe you lost the timing belt or open up the valve cover and see if your cam is rotating.

My nissan sentra 1994 turns over but will not start has gas oil coolant and everything else

locate the fuel rail (where the injectors are) there should be a test port on there. take a pen and push the little valve core in. If fuel comes out with good presure you know you have fuel. If not you probably need a fuel pump. Next remove a spark plug, with it plugged in groung it to the engine block and have someone crank the motor. You should see spark, if not you probably need a distributor or ignition coil. The last thing to test if everthing was OK is to do a compression test on 1 cylinder to make sure you have adequate compression 100 pounds usually.

HELP! I have a 95 gmc 4x4... sank it underwater. replaced fuel pump assembly, distributer cap, rotor, and spark module, ignition switch, computer, fuel pump relay, plugs, and wires. had only 80 psi...

the starter could be too close to the flywheel. try adding a couple of starter shims. it also could be drawing to many amps from internal corrosion from water intrusion.
