Try www.cartronix.co.uk they can repair the renault megane scenic dash and the renault espace instrument cluster for £140 inc postage and only takes 2-3 days. Their number is 07970 075414.
See all the comments on Renault Scenics. Almost certainly same fault, esp if it started in cold weather (please don't ask how cold can trigger it, but everyone seems to have same experience!). Renault will quote you £500-£700 for a repair. Other forums suggest ECUtesting.com and Cluster Repairs UK who will both fix by mail order for about £200. And please, please, email Watchdog as there are hundreds of cars out there with this fault and Renault need to be made to act!
2004 Renault Espace dash started randomly flickering last year. Local Renault dealer had it for two weeks but couldn't find out what was wrong even with their expensive diagnostics check! Two weeks ago the dash started blanking out while I was driving, I had to whack the top to get it back. I googled for help and found this site and a recommendation for www.cartronix.co.uk
Luckily there is a branch near my home so I booked it in for this morning and within an hour they'd fixed it and guaranteed it for life all for about a tenth of the cost of a new dash! Very happy!

Hi, did you find a solution to your Espace dashboard problem? My 3.0DCI Espace has just hit the same problem. Dash display board suddenly when blank. Comes back when I put the key in but then goes again.

04 Grand Scenic Ireland. Just hit the same problem yesterday. Dash completely blank. Just quoted 300euro + vat + labour to repair.
54 Plate 1.9dci Grand Scenic 2 - Dash started flickering or all warning lights coming on. Checked at Renault could find no fault. About 8 wks later, today full dash display is totally blank without any warning. Contacted local Renault dealer who have had 2 or 3 in recently. Will take a week to get car looked at due to garage being very busy.
Still awaiting quote for repair.... have contacted Renault Customer care who will be well aware of this very much ongoing problem. Car runnin great but electrics are a pain when broken.
