I drove the car untill it was very low on gas and parked it. then i later came back to try and go to the gas station and it would not start. I went to get gas and when I got back it would not start without me giving it gas and I have to keep my foot on the gas in order for the car to stay running.

You need a new engine. There has been quite a few cases of rod bearing failures on these engines. If the engine is left idling, the oil pressure drops as it gets hot and thin. If there was significant wear already inside the engine, that wear would accelerate rapidly with low oil pressure and the bearings would spin in their saddles.

the brain is not sending the proper fuel pressure codes to the fuel rail to evenly distribute the fuel to the intake and fuel rail.
perform a fuel pressure test check on it ok? also run a diagnostic scan on it and see what codes come out.

have you replace the fue filter? a sticking iac sensor can also cause problems starting also check the air flow sensor

I had the same problem with my 2000 Bonneville SLE and I replaced the crank shaft sensor and it solved the problem. The crank shaft sensor is located behind the harmonic balancer. You have to take the balancer off to get to the part. You will need a puller to get it off. You will also have to take the fly wheel cover off and hold the fly wheel when you remove the nut from the front of balancer.
